DMG Is attending MWC Barcelona

We’re heading to Barcelona for Mobile’s Most Important Annual Gathering!

The DMG team will soon be hitting the road for Barcelona, Spain, to attend the GSMA Mobile World Congress - the hottest mobile event of the season, taking place Feb 27th to March 1st. And, they won’t be alone: 50,000 to 60,000 people from 200 countries are expected to attend this year’s festivities and to partake of the endless opportunities to learn, discuss, and network with colleagues and major players from around the globe.

Today’s most respected thought leaders will present their exciting visions of the future in keynote speeches and panel discussions that reflect this year’s theme - Redefining Mobile.  Thirty tracks will cover the latest tech trends and strategies for the mobile industry and adjacent sectors.

Mobile World Congress 2012 will celebrate the current state of mobile and offer a glimpse into where mobile has the potential to go next.

Happy b-day!

Oh boy, how the time just flies by when you’re having fun!  Only four short years have passed since DMG’s inception, and we can easily say it's our pride & joy! It’s truly incredible how far we've  gone in just 1,460 days.  Never is it enough to just have a great idea.  Having the right tools, the Passion, innovation, and not to mention a great team, are all integral parts to the implementation of a dream, our dream!


DMG’s Birthday celebration was an excellent avenue for our team to enjoy a delightful evening filled with laughs and accomplishments. An evening capped off by a truly insightful lecture from a Digital Marketing guru.  A Lecture that stressed more than ever, that the sky is the limit!

We started by visiting e-Commerce Paris, meeting clients, shaking hands and seeing

IAB survey: marketers to increase mobile ad spend

A study from IAB finds that marketers are flocking to mobile advertising  
In an IAB survey of 300 top-level brand marketers released Monday July 18th, a full 72% said they have plans to increase their ad spend, with 35% saying they plan to increase their ad spend by over 50%.
The study found that 51% of those surveyed said that they already treat mobile platforms as a critical part of their current marketing strategy, while another 35% say that they are “experimenting” with mobile advertising. 

Additionally, 63% of respondents said that their companies’ mobile ad spend has increased over the last two years, with 29% saying that their ad spend has increased by over 50%.Another attractive aspect of mobile advertising is the potential for high engagement and personalization. Every mobile device is linked to an individual and is always on hand, meaning that connected devices are accessible through all the hours of the media day and have great immediacy.

But There Is Still Work To Be Done
The survey results confirmed that mobile advertising has made solid progress but we also wanted to find out which areas were seen by marketers as challenging, which in turn enables us to identify where they require support and guidance.

The mobile advertising issues of highest concern to marketers are consumer privacy (40%) device operating system fragmentation (39%) and lack of standardized metrics (31%).
